This one is not going to take long. I enjoy bad movies as much as the next hardcore movie enthusiast. One learns more from the bad than the good. With age I am learning to adapt or die in terms of any art form or giant gathering. Whatever is your foray. That said, if this trend, which is growing and continues to rise, it is going to destroy me as a true film lover.
The concept of “Profile” is quite intriguing. A British journalist named (Valene Kane) goes undercover for a story that involves ISIS. She then becomes involved with an online ISIS recruiter for ‘research purposes’. Sounds like a match made in heaven.
Intriguing concept. The problem, the entire movie was made with social media devices. No, this is not a documentary. You are literally seeing that annoying three button thing on your phone in the upper right of your giant movie screen with the underlying tone being about ISIS recruiters? Not my cup of tea, and the worst picture I have seen since theaters started to reopen. It is rare I walk out on a film. “Profile” had me literarily jump out of my seat yelling “I’m Done!” during the climax.
